PAULA REARDON- WEBSTER
Paula has a passion for helping people, both individuals and organizations.
"I particularly love to give people tools to access resilience, increase creativity, and develop a deeper sense of well-being."
How? She teaches them how to cultivate mindful awareness, compassion-based leadership skills, and mind-body practices.
During her twenty-five years in healthcare financial management and raising a family, and was a family, and (to keep her sanity) she meditated sporadically. As the kids grew, the intensity of
adolescence created a new level of stress, and she firmly embraced regular mindfulness practice. The impact was PROFOUND; while situations may not have changed, the ease with which she moved through
them did.
Through regular practice she was inspired to earn a M.A. in Mindfulness Studies at Lesley University. Also she obtained certification as an Evidence-Based Qigong (EBQ) Instructor (Center for Taiji
& Qigong Studies), and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Therapist (RYT200).

Yin Yoga Wednesday evenings 6 to 7:15 2019
YIN YOGA at the Center at Westwoods
Yin Yoga marries Hatha Yoga with principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, stimulating channels of energy (Chi, or Qi) in the body in ways similar to acupuncture and acupressure.
In Yin Yoga practice familiar Hatha Yoga poses are modified and held from between 2 and 5 minutes each, engaging bodily sensations while allowing time for an inner journey, quieting the mind. In addition to stretching muscles, Yin Yoga practice STRESSES and ACTIVATES denser tissues in the body (fascia, tendons, ligaments, etc.) throughout the body, realigning body shape and developing a freer flow of energy throughout the body.
Over time you will learn the difference between tension and compression in YOUR BODY: sometimes our range of motion is limited by tension in the muscles which may stretch more over time within a pose and over the course of your practice; sometimes your range of motion is limited based upon the UNIQUE STRUCTURE OF YOUR FRAME AND BODY. Every body is different and unique. In this practice we take the time to notice and learn how your body moves.
