Meet Ashley

Intentional and vigorous movement has always been part of Ashley’s life; she was a gymnast and a cheerleader before practicing Bikrim in her teen years.

After struggling with a connective tissue disorder, Ashley slowed down and focused on using yoga to heal from the inside out. She started practicing vinyasa and found that the mindful flow not only liberated her from joint pain, but it had a profound impact on her mind and spirit as well. She began to see yoga as a lifestyle more than a practice, and decided it was time to share that very intimate part of her heart with the world, completing her 200 hour Yoga Alliance RYT Certification with Kevan Gale at Stil Studio.

Ashley’s classes are all about movement and awareness of the body. The dance and flow of her strong vinyasa class will leave you feeling energized and empowered. You will exert your mind and body, all to be rewarded with her generous hands-on assists and savasana massages.

Ashley truly embodies the ideal that yoga is for every body. You don’t have to be flexible, you don’t have to have the idealistic body, and you definitely don’t have to be perfect on your mat. The practice will transform you.

Mindful Movement & Meditation Series

Marie and Ashley are excited to be offing a companion class series to their Mindful Movement and Meditation Retreat.  In this series we will make a commitment to practice yoga and meditation for the 21 days the course covers. Committing to a daily practice and having accountability to the practice creates a strong foundation for your meditation. Each week will start with a gentle physical practice to open the body and center our minds to practice meditation.  We will then introduce one meditation or guided visualization practice. Some of which will be expanded upon during our retreat.  There will be time at the end of class for journal writing, discussion or questions.  Please wear comfortable clothes you can easily move in, a journal and water.

SPA YOGA w. Ashley B 

SPA yoga is a 75 min slow-flow, floor-based, whole-body sensory experience based on Fluid Yoga sequencing.

By engaging all five of the senses with soft candlelight, soothing music, aromatherapy, lots of hands-on assists and a renewed awareness of taste (and sometimes chocolate!), SPA aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom of deep relaxation.

The physical practice takes time to open the body’s subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in an extended, guided shavasana.

During SPA, you may discover extra hands on assists and massages, a calming candlelit room atmosphere, delightful scents and beautiful music in the background.

Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a SPA!
